Charles is the Co-Chairman and Director of the RRJ Group. Prior to joining the RRJ Group in 2012, Charles had a 10-year career with Temasek Holdings (“Temasek”), where he held various positions including Chief Investment Officer and Chief Strategy Officer. He started his career with Lazard Freres & Co. in New York in 1989 and relocated to Singapore in 1995 to help commence Lazard’s operations in Asia.
Subsequently, Charles oversaw Deutsche Bank’s investment banking business in Southeast Asia from 1998 to 2002.
From 2009 to 2011, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Seatown Holdings International, a global investment firm and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek.
Charles graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science and from Harvard Business School in 1995 with a Masters of Business Administration.
