Laurene has spent the greater part of her career in healthcare management, investment and business development, across Singapore, Abu Dhabi and in Indonesia. She has helmed many leadership positions, most recently as CEO of Innoquest Indonesia. Prior to this, Laurene was CEO of two of Mubadala Investment Company’s Healthcare subsidiaries based in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and actively drove the vision, mission and strategy for both subsidiaries, achieving exceptional business growth.

Prior to relocating to the UAE in 2008, Laurene was a pioneering member of the healthcare ventures team at SingHealth. In addition to commercialising new innovations and technologies arising from the SingHealth network, she was credited for launching Singapore’s first public cord blood stem cell bank, including fundraising for the bank, and eventually securing its successful entry into a global network of public cord blood banks and transplant centers.
