Access to Healthcare for All

Project Big Heart (PBH)

Fullerton Health Foundation started hosting an annual event, Project Big Heart, which was started in 2015 in Singapore. We look to address gaps in the community, specifically for the elderly and disadvantaged. Mobilising internal resource, volunteers and partnering community groups, this project brings free medical consultations, treatment for chronic diseases, including free medication to the low-income elderly residents who are unable to access care in the western part of Singapore.

Highlights
To date, we have impacted almost 4,000 residents contributing an estimated value of over SGD1.6million.

In 2020, because of COVID 19, PBH could not be conducted physically due to safe-distancing restrictions. The event was conducted virtually. For the first time, the Foundation made telemedicine services available for select CHAS cardholders in Nanyang Constituency through the LiveFuller smartphone app. The project will also waive medicine and delivery fees for recipients to have their prescriptions conveniently delivered to their doorsteps.

This project is part of Fullerton Health’s goal to ‘do well and do good’, by galvanising partners and making available technology and resource to make an impact in healthcare affordability and accessibility for all in every community in which the company operates in.
